Description
The youngest member of the Kraksna spaceship crew has disappeared, and while Captain Moravec and Lieutenant Vojcechovsky set out on their missions, the search is left to engineer Vodička and the Italian singer Giuseppe. Picking her up from a planet of giant worms is no walk in the park, and both men must prove they are not ready for the scrap heap. To rescue Amanda, they have to survive in the arena of a space circus, evade Loyd, who seeks revenge for the loss of his testicle, namely antimatter, and meet the Lord of the Mountains, the legendary leader of the resistance against the Enlil Empire, who will need their help. All this unfolds amid sharp Ostrava dialect curses and heartfelt performances of arias from Don Giovanni. Welcome to the universe where humanity’s last hope of saving an occupied planet is the Kraksna cargo ship and its distinctive crew, in a Czech-language science-fiction adventure that is as dark, cruel and entertaining as Professor Krasiński allows.
