Description
This novel presents four stories connected by the ingenious idea of a delivery service that sends special packages from beyond the grave. The recipients form a varied group of people, each confronted with a message whose personal significance they must discover. The first story follows an elderly woman living in a neglected home and struggling with loneliness after the deaths of the two friends with whom she shared her life for many years. The second explores the generational conflict between a high-school girl from the countryside who longs for the big city and her grandmother. In the third, a man in his forties learns of the death of his childhood first love, while the fourth brings a mysterious message from a high-school teacher. The epilogue focuses on the person who delivers the packages in every chapter. The contents are in Czech.
