Description
When Katherine inherits a small house from her aunt in the Irish village of Howth, she does not realise that the local library is part of her inheritance. The village’s loving and peaceful residents want Katherine to reopen it, and she finds the reasons hidden among the pages of its books: letters. The villagers use them to confide their troubles, feelings and thoughts—the things that weigh on their hearts, burden them or make them happy—and then hide the letters inside their favourite books and stories. As Katherine reflects on her life so far and struggles to decide whether she can, or even wants to, accept this unusual inheritance, Cadan enters her life.
