She decides to spend just a moment in the Viking era, but then she gets caught up in a brawl in the 9th century and wakes up the next morning on a ship heading to Iceland. And aboard with her is the man who saved her.

Geir Eskilsson has left his family and Sweden behind, deciding to start a completely new life abroad on his own. Maddie is instantly drawn to him, but when she discovers that she is related to both of his sisters-in-law, she thinks it must be fate that brought them together. Of all the dangers that await them on their journey to a new land, the hardest battle for him will be to win Maddie's heart. He must convince her that the runes never lie...
