Description
What will the world look like sixty years from today and one hundred years after Orwell's famous dystopian vision? Will we go through a global catastrophe and live at the level of the Stone Age? Will we be dominated by artificial intelligence? Will we be crushed by barbarian invasions? Will we find the recipe for immortality? Will we be engulfed by neomarxist totalitarianism? How many new genders will we invent and how will we engage in sex? These and other questions are posed by Pavel Hénik in eighteen stories, an experienced writer who has, among other works, two dystopian novels to his name. In his stories, he subjects the contemporary world to critical analysis and creates various projections of future developments. Some stories are serious and harsh, others light-hearted and humorous, but they all share a common denominator – they lead readers to ponder whether the current direction of development will ensure a better life for future generations or not.
