Eleven-year-old Nico Krispis has never lied in his life. However, when he checked in the last train, Nico saw his own family being herded into the cattle car. Only then did he realize he had helped send his relatives – and all the others he knew and loved – to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Nico managed to escape – but from that moment on, he never spoke the truth again.
