Description
No one loves musicals more than Riley, whose dream is to become a Broadway director. When the school’s spring musical is cancelled, she must find a way to bring it back. That is easier said than done, however, since she has to take a part-time job at her father’s game store, where business matters more to him than his own family. Riley cannot waste time at work when her future depends on making a name for herself this year. So she persuades her coworker Nathan Wheeler, a bespectacled, tousle-haired boy she barely knows from school, to help her. In return, Riley will make his teammate, whom he is in love with, jealous. It also will not hurt to show her selfish ex-boyfriend Paul what he lost when he left her. Riley and Nathan soon become a “couple,” and everyone happily falls for their ruse. To make it believable, Riley must join a group playing Dračí doupě, a fantasy role-playing game. She is surprised by how much she enjoys it. An even greater surprise is that flirting with Nathan requires far less acting than she initially thought.
