She grows up with her sisters the Gorgons and gradually begins to realize that she is the only one who is changing, and also the only one who can be harmed. When Poseidon, the god of the seas, commits an unforgivable act in Athena's temple, the goddess takes revenge on the one who cannot defend herself – and forever transforms Medusa.
