Description
Elle has just graduated from university and can't believe her luck when, after a challenging period of final exams, she gets the opportunity to spend an entire month watching over the beautiful, ancient estate of the Gillespie family. The two-hundred-year-old residence is more than an hour's drive from the city and is surrounded by dense forests. Elle is excited to explore all the secrets that such a house surely hides. Behind the house, there is even a cemetery with gravestones that share the same year of death. ***** The dark and deadly history of the house begins to intertwine rapidly with Elle's own life. She discovers that the house was built by Jonathan Gillespie, a tyrannical leader of the Cult of Darkness. Though he has been dead for a long time, as Elle soon finds out, it is quite possible that he still lurks in the dark corners of the house, waiting for his revenge. ***** The story 'Death in the Gillespie House' is one of four spooky tales in the eponymous book by the queen of horror, Darcy Coates.
