Description

Stubbornness can be a good trait, but on the other hand, it can lead to almost unimaginable situations. One such situation befell Kéraban, a wealthy tobacco merchant living in the Asian part of Istanbul, while his business office is in the European part. One day, a problem arose. When he wants to cross the Bosporus by ferry as usual, he discovers that a new tax has been imposed on this transport. Although it is low, Kéraban refuses to pay it. And because he is truly stubborn, he has no choice but to go around the entire Black Sea in a carriage, as he hates trains. This brings about many adventurous situations that we certainly won't reveal now. However, troubles do not cease even after his return to Istanbul. His nephew Ahmet's wedding to a girl named Amasia must again take place in the European part of the city. A new route around the Black Sea is out of the question due to time constraints, so the stubborn Kéraban must choose another, again original solution...
