Description
Chicago, 2018. Ole Henryks, the owner of a beloved restaurant, well-known in Chicago and on local television, is to be honored by the Chicago Association of Danish-American Friendship for his many years of civic and charitable activities and inducted into the Hall of Fame. Ole is particularly famous for his actions during World War II in Nazi-occupied Denmark, and most people consider him a hero. ***** But not Britta Stein. This ninety-two-year-old Chicago lady is making public accusations against Henryks – at night, she spray paints messages like "liar," "traitor," "collaborator," or "informer" on the walls of his restaurant. She is later arrested and charged with criminal damage to property, and an outraged Ole Henryks sues her for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. ***** Attorney Catherine Lockhart initially hesitates but ultimately agrees to take on Mrs. Stein's defense. However, to find evidence that proves her client's innocence, she must, with the help of her investigative husband Liam Taggart, return to the times of wartime Denmark.
