This book is about animals that are neither beautiful nor cute. And if they are, they have habits that are not attractive at all. However, it does not write about them to slander these animals or to provoke disgust in us. It aims to show us the various ways animals have developed to adapt to their environment and ensure their survival, and how inventive nature is in this regard. The reader will thus learn a wealth of information that they may not find in other books or textbooks, expanding their education. And perhaps then the unpleasant behavior of some animals will not seem so disgusting, as they will understand how important it is for these creatures and what purpose it serves. The book is the work of two authors – Cristina Banfi and Rossella Trionfetti. Cristina, who wrote the text, studied natural sciences at the University of Milan and is an experienced author of textbooks and publications for children. Rossella, who provided the book with beautiful illustrations, has been interested in nature and the surrounding world since childhood. She studied at an art school and has since focused primarily on creating for children.
