Description
What must happen to a person to find themselves in the desolate wilderness of Šumava overnight, with just a few things in their backpack? Self-satisfied Prague manager and future father Petr knows all about it. One morning, after a boisterous celebration of his promotion at work, circumstances force him to leave everything behind in just a few minutes. He leaves behind an empty apartment and his old life. He heads to the heart of Šumava, where he grew up with his grandfather, the local gamekeeper. There, he struggles with the cold, hunger, conscience – and also with the unyielding Major Hermann from the České Budějovice criminal police. In the fight for survival, he is helped by a mysterious older lumberjack named Vincent and his friend Vašek. However, each of the men hides something from their past. In the end, it turns out that nothing is as it initially seems: the reasons for the hasty escape, the hostile nature, nor Petr himself.
