Hazel Sinnett is a girl who desires studying surgery more than marriage. Unfortunately, it's the early nineteenth century, and medical education is not available to women. Jack Currer trades in bodies dug up from graves and struggles to survive in a city where life is not easy, especially with a disease ravaging the population, claiming the lives of most infected.
