Description
Just before Christmas in 1987, an unknown man arrives at the home of a couple living on a remote farm in eastern Iceland, asking for shelter from the blizzard. He claims to have lost his friends in the blinding snowstorm, but the housekeeper feels something is off about his story. Over time, the atmosphere in the house thickens, not only due to the power outage and loss of phone connection. The woman's ominous intuition is confirmed, and not everyone survives the unexpected visit unscathed. Criminal Inspector Hulda Hermannsdóttir is assigned to investigate the complex case, just a few months after she herself experienced a terrible family tragedy, the consequences of which she will carry with her for the rest of her life.
