Description
Clare and Dorran are still alive against all odds, but the relief they gained from their rescue from Helexis Tower is only temporary. Dorran is still getting worse after Ezra's experimental treatment, and it is unclear whether he will survive at all. Clare suspects that his only chance lies in an experimental institute in Evandal, where a group of scientists is reportedly surviving, who could read Ezra's corrective code for destroying the thanites. However, Clare primarily hopes to save the dying Dorran. The institute is a three-day journey away, but Clare is unsure if they have the strength to reach it at all.
