Haworth Parsonage, February 1846: The Brontë sisters – Anne, Emily, and Charlotte – are busy with their literary careers. While searching for a publisher for their poetry collection, each of them is already nurturing the idea of their own novel. At the same time, they crave some adventure and another 'detective' case. And what a devil's trick: one frosty February evening, their housekeeper, Tabby, informs them of a terrible discovery at Top Withens, the local estate of the Bradshaw family, where human bones have been found in the chimney's facade. Worse still – it seems the bones belonged to a child! For Tabby, this is clearly a bad omen. Choked with fear, she warns the trio of sisters and doesn't forget to add the dreadful rumors surrounding the Bradshaw family. It is said in the village that Clifton Bradshaw, on the brink of bankruptcy, sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the promise of wealth. Could this somehow be connected to the bones found? The sisters are deeply affected by the whole event, and so they decide to take action. However, they soon discover that evil has cast its intricate nets, and they have foolishly allowed themselves to be ensnared...
