Shay Goldstein has been working at a radio station in Seattle for ten years and can't imagine working anywhere else. However, lately, she has been constantly arguing with her new colleague Dominik Yun, who has just graduated in journalism and is convinced he knows everything best. Their station is struggling and needs something new to attract listeners. Shay comes up with an idea, and her boss enthusiastically accepts it. In their new show called Ex on Air, two people who dated in the past will give relationship advice. Their boss decides that Shay and Dominik are the perfect fit for this role since they already can't stand each other and are always bickering. Neither of them is thrilled about lying to people, but it's their only chance to stay in radio. Listeners quickly fall in love with the show, and soon it becomes one of the most popular in Seattle, rapidly climbing the charts of favorite podcasts. However, the more popular the show becomes, the bigger the deception. Especially when Shay and Dominik gradually fall in love with each other.
