It is the year 1919. The cannons of World War I have fallen silent on the desolate battlefields of northern France. Special units now face a dangerous task: searching for the dead for mass burials. Captain Mackenzie, who survived the war himself, still cannot bring himself to return home. First, he must ensure that the bodies of his fallen comrades are found and laid to rest. However, his mission turns upside down when his men make a horrific discovery in the ruins of a German stronghold. Among the many lost soldiers is the fiancé of Amy Vanneck, who refuses to accept that his body may never be found. She sets out for France, determined to find out what happened to the man she loved. Soon, there is no doubt that Captain Mackenzie has uncovered a war crime characterized by inhuman brutality. A dark truth begins to surface, and both Mackenzie and Amy are drawn into the hunt for a psychopath for whom the atrocities in Two Storm Wood are not the end, but merely the beginning.
