Mé přítelkyně z Ravensbrücku – Knedler Magda (2021)

In a world where death is the only hope, friendship is the only thing that can save you. In a concentration camp surrounded by barbed wire, strong bonds form among the women. Stronger than the camp walls. Stronger than brutal blows. Maria, Sabina, Bente, and Helga – each of them ended up in Ravensbrück for different reasons. Each was different. A young writer finds a manuscript at her apartment door that changes her life. She decides to find out at all costs who those friends from Ravensbrück were. The book includes poems by Grażyna Chrostowska – a Polish poet who was shot in Ravensbrück on April 18, 1942, along with twelve other women. A novel inspired by the true testimonies of former inmates.
