Everything went wrong when I trimmed the bush for him. And no, it’s not what you think. I’m a professional. The client hired me to trim the shrubs in his garden and decorate them for a party. I accidentally turned it into something that rhymes with the name "Denis." Imagine my surprise when the art world decided it was a masterpiece. Were my hormones responsible for my bush disaster? I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. When I first met Harry Barnige, my brain switched to caveman mode. I was plagued by humiliating fantasies in which he hit me over the head and carried me off to a cave. I lost a big part of my vocabulary, and maybe I even drooled a little. But I couldn’t focus on that. On him. I needed this job to fulfill my younger sister’s dream. So far, I had managed to mess everything up in my professional and personal life, but I was determined to make this work.
