Even as a child, Nimue experienced the touch of darkness and has been an outcast among her own people ever since. She must suppress her own magical abilities, and her relatives fear her. Therefore, she longs to leave more than anything. However, when her native village is burned by the army of the Red Paladins and the inhabitants are brutally killed, the darkness within her awakens. Nimue's dying mother entrusts her with the task of accepting an ancient sword and delivering it to a legendary wizard. Nimue becomes the last hope of her people. Her mission requires all her strength, but the power awakening in her soul primarily seeks revenge. She joins forces with a charming mercenary named Arthur and tries to save the Elder Folk from all corners of the English kingdom.
