Twelve-year-old Stacey lived in New York, had many friends, and lacked for nothing. She loved the bustling life of the big city. But then she was diagnosed with diabetes. She struggled to cope with her illness and lost all her friends. So, she didn't mind when she moved with her parents to the town of Stoneybrook. Here, she met Kristy, Mary Anne, and Claudia, with whom she became friends and together they formed a babysitting club. But now a competing agency with unscrupulous practices has emerged. Additionally, Stacey's parents are scheduling appointments with more and more doctors, and she has to convince them that she is an independent and responsible girl who can manage her illness.
