Description
Sněžník, winter 1923. A local guide finds the body of a tourist, mutilated in a drastic and calculated manner, at the top of the Emperor William Tower. On the same day, a respected scientist is murdered. The killer introduces himself in a message left behind as a hero of local legends, the Spirit of the Mountains, Rübezahl. The head of the Kladno criminal department, Chief Constable Franz Koschella, is assigned to investigate the case. It soon becomes clear that Rübezahl does not choose his victims randomly, and the trail leads to a hospital in Beelitz near Berlin. The Kladno policeman encounters an old acquaintance, military detective Captain Wilhelm Klein. Koschella is convinced that the key to capturing the perpetrator lies in Klein's past. A confrontation with the captain is inevitable, and the truth revealed will have extraordinarily serious consequences…
