A dark hero game reminiscent of gothic Jumanji. In the 1990s, six teenagers disappeared into the world of a fantasy role-playing game. Only five returned to our reality. Now, as adults, they must deal with demons in their personal lives and in the game that is far from over for them. They return to their heroic professions, trying to figure out who sent them to the planet shaped like a dodecahedron and why, who created that captivating world, and what role their missing friend plays in the events. Each member of the party has different goals and motivations, but it is becoming clear to all that the fictional world has no good intentions towards our reality... This dark saga, reminiscent of the works of Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, or Robert Jackson Bennett, has earned the nickname gothic Jumanji. It both celebrates and subverts various forms of the fantasy genre, featuring characters like Emily Brontë, H.G. Wells, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, and a familiar professor with a pipe. The Cube series has twice won the prestigious British Fantasy Award and has been nominated three times for the Hugo Award.
