Description
An epic novel about lives shattered into tiny pieces by war ***** The main heroine finds herself in creative endeavors, crafting stunning stained glass, chandeliers, and other luxury glass products, and despite her pro-Western views, she manages to build a successful business in the mafia-ridden environment of Donetsk. Then comes the year 2014, which turns her entire world upside down, and she must redirect her efforts. Without hesitation, she joins a resistance group against pro-Russian separatists and observes the events around her and herself with a pragmatic outlook, but also with surprising humor. She gathers basic supplies for the Ukrainian army, starts a collection, and does everything she can to help those in need. She finds new friends but also witnesses how long-standing neighborly bonds can snap into bloodshed in an instant. ***** The novel is based on stories the author collected while volunteering in the Donbas from 2014 to 2016.
