Vytoužená smrt – Hunterová Cara (2023)

Inspector Adam Fawley and his team are racing against time. What if an innocent person is in prison? A shooting is reported at a remote farm. When the police arrive, they are met with a horrifying sight of a young man with a gunshot wound to the head. However, the investigation progresses slowly — the victim cannot be identified, as he has no ID, wallet, or phone on him. According to the elderly couple from the farm, he was a robber, but Inspector Adam Fawley suspects the truth is more complicated. Moreover, inconsistencies begin to emerge in the couple's testimony. Do they know something more? It soon becomes clear that there is a connection between the murdered man and a certain media-famous case from the past. Investigators begin to race against time: they must solve the case faster than it becomes the target of a media frenzy. It is not excluded that their colleagues did not do a good job in investigating the previous case and sent an innocent person to prison. Such mistakes are not forgiven by the public. Sometimes, murder is not the worst thing that can happen.
