Dcera kostí – Stewartová Andrea (2022)

The first part of the Asia-inspired fantasy series The Drowning Empire. The Emperor has ruled for decades, maintaining peace and order in the empire with magical power that allows him to create massive bone structures from fragments of bones. However, his strength is waning, and a wave of rebellion is gradually spreading across the islands of the Empire. The Emperor's daughter, Lin, spends her days trapped in a palace full of locked chambers and dark secrets, desperately trying to prove to her father that she is worthy of becoming his heir. But in the Emperor's eyes, she is not suited for such an important role because, due to a mysterious illness, she has lost all her childhood memories. Thus, Lin has no choice but to impress her father by mastering the forbidden art of bone magic herself. Such great power demands a tremendous sacrifice, and the rebels are already at the gates. Lin faces a difficult decision. How far is she willing to go for her legacy — and the salvation of her people?
