The answer is far from straightforward, at least from Gabriel's perspective, one of the café's visitors. Contrary to all expectations, one day he disappears, leaving behind only a clue in the form of five postcards. His ex-girlfriend sets out to find him from the world of eternal calm. But in the streets of Prague, mannequins change beyond recognition. The morally perfect world of Přístav is gone, and a return to eternity is not so easily achieved. Karolína Fílova's philosophical novel raises questions about the search for the Aristotelian mean as virtue and explores the possibilities of achieving moral perfection in a world where everything is merely relative.
