Description
Where to escape from a country that others flee to with hope? Tereza lives with her forty-years-older husband Edo in a fortified farmhouse near the heavily guarded border with Poland. She is almost not allowed to step outside because it is becoming unsafe in the area. In a nearby town, unrest is escalating, and buses are bringing more and more workers from various corners of a crumbling Europe to a giant mining platform. Among them is a young Macedonian named Nikola. Frustrated, Tereza is immediately impressed by him, and this dangerous acquaintance turns her life upside down. That year, moose have unprecedentedly multiplied in the region. And Goran and his people secretly cross the border with a clear task: to find Šváb. Their hunt unleashes hell, where no one is sure who is an ally, who is an enemy, and who is in the right. Who started it back then and why? Tereza inadvertently uncovers a war crime — a well-hidden humanitarian disaster that concerns us more than we would like.
