Return to the world of the successful sci-fi series Travelers. Planet Gora is devoid of water, air, and life, and thus completely uninteresting. Its only advantage is that it is located near more interesting worlds — making it a convenient stop for ships traveling through the wormholes of the Galactic Community. If the universe were a highway, Gora would be a truck stop. In the dome of Five Hops One Stop, space travelers can stretch their legs (if they have them), get fuel, travel permits, and supplies. It is run by an enterprising alien woman with her child, who occasionally helps her, and she does her best to provide a home for everyone passing through. However, transportation on Gora is crippled by a strange technical failure, and three complete strangers get stuck together in Five Hops One Stop: each of a different race and each with different plans. They have no choice but to wait. Thus, an artist in exile rushing to an important meeting, a cargo pilot facing a complicated life decision, and a mysterious figure helping outcasts from society try to deal with what they have done, what they could do, and what they are — or could be — to one another.
