Description
You can't escape the past—it will outrun you and wait for you at the end of the world. František Horák had the nickname Rudej vztek. That was back in the old regime when everyone was still afraid of his interrogation methods. That was when the strange suicide happened, jumping off a cliff, leaving only shoes at the top. Who the hell takes off their shoes before committing suicide? But all of that is forgotten now. Horák is a retiree living in Ústí nad Labem in northern Bohemia, hoping that no one recognizes him anymore. His only solace is a closed religious community and the Pastor who leads them. But then strange signs begin to appear, as if the devil were not just a symbolic figure, but someone who can truly block a person's path. And with the devil, the past slowly returns as well. The day of reckoning is approaching.
