Description
A bizarre adventure in the underground of Belarusian salt mines transformed into a luxury sanatorium. Prepper Oktobrin arrives in Soligorsk, Belarus, at the former potash salt mines that have turned into a luxury sanatorium for treating lung diseases. His goal is to explore whether the underground spaces could be inhabited even after the expected transformation of the world. He sees the reclaimed mine as an ideal shelter from any form of collapse. Although he is healthy, he undergoes a therapeutic stay underground, during which he aims to gain control over his life’s fate, explore his own possibilities, and learn to survive independently of external circumstances. However, over time, he begins to feel not only the weight of hundreds of meters of rock above him but also the boundaries set by the sanatorium staff, the power of doctors, and the overall deprivation and loneliness. The Prepper's expectation of collapse and experiencing a crisis overlaps with various strategies for possible survival. Many of us are already following similar procedures today in relation to the impending climate catastrophe or other threats that our civilization faces and simultaneously causes.
