Description
In the eighth installment of the detective series about Department Q, the author reveals Asad's troubled past. On the shores of the Mediterranean, the body of a refugee is found. The newspapers write about him as the "Victim 2117," and his death triggers a series of unexpected events that bring Asad to the brink of collapse. He must confront demons from the past evoked by articles from a Spanish journalist while simultaneously racing against time with Carl to prevent an inevitable catastrophe in the heart of Europe, orchestrated by the Iraqi terrorist Ghálib. We know Asad as a man with a quirky sense of humor who can handle any situation. However, his dark past has remained hidden from us until now. What is his true story?
