Description
Alenka is sometimes angry, irritable or gloomy. Fortunately, she has a cheerful grandfather who invents funny fairy tales for her and teaches her to look at the world from its brighter side. Together they paint, make up verses, speak in a secret language and ask readers important questions: Can a princess turn into a meatball? Do potato dumplings go to school? What if children had lemonade flowing from their eyes instead of tears? And what happens when you miscount the grandfathers? This Czech-language humorous fairy-tale book, illustrated by Jaromír Plachý, offers amusing reading for children from five to 105. The creative duo Nejedlý–Plachý, known for Malý humorista and Hororová čítanka, have reunited for a book they call a “hammer against bad moods.”
