Restaurants, pubs, and various dives significantly contribute to the character of the city, giving it a sense of community, popular entertainment, and philosophical chatter. Without inns, many friendships would not have formed, and without those friendships, many cultural works, sculptures, paintings, books, magazines, and social institutions would not have come into being, as well as plebeian amusements for ordinary people. Prague's pubs have influenced the history of the city both in its very center and on the periphery. In recent times, more than today, inns and cafes played an important social role and provided information services, offering their spaces to various associations and clubs. They don't always have happy endings, but against the backdrop of the stories of individual pubs, human stories have unfolded, and still unfold, which, if not recorded in a book, would have been forgotten with the departures of those who lived them. The book "Na dvě" loosely continues the first part of the narrative about Prague's pubs, which was published last year under the title "Na jedno." You can expect another 50 stories of restaurants and inns, mostly lesser-known and not pushed to the forefront by tourist guides.
