Meet the incredible life of Empress Sisi’s granddaughter. Alžběta Marie, known as Erzsi, is beautiful and extravagant like her grandmother Sisi and passionate like her father, Crown Prince Rudolf. She lives through an extraordinary and highly dramatic story. She always does things her own way: to marry her first husband, Otto Windisch-Graetz, she gives up her right to inherit the Habsburg throne. When their marriage collapses amid both spouses’ love affairs, their subsequent divorce fills the pages of the press. Her relationship with submarine commander Egon Lerch ends tragically, as his love for the emperor’s granddaughter proves fatal. After the fall of the monarchy, Erzsi enters the Social Democratic Party under the influence of her new partner, Petznek, earning the nickname “the Red Archduchess.” Discover the story of a woman whose exciting fate becomes intertwined with the dramatic twentieth century.
