Kardiologie v otázkách a odpovědích – Plášek Jiří (2025)

The book, consisting of 33 chapters, summarizes the most important areas of modern cardiology, from the basics of cardiac physiology, through imaging methods in cardiology, cardiac catheterization, acute and chronic forms of heart failure, electrophysiology, valvular defects and their complications, cardiomyopathy, to cardiovascular diseases in the context of other illnesses. Three chapters are dedicated to the most important issues in vascular medicine. The book is organized as targeted thematic questions and answers, often documented with illustrations or diagrams.

The questions are stratified into three levels of difficulty. Each individual chapter begins with a condensed abstract of the most critical information necessary to understand the topic.

Cardiology in questions and answers can serve the inquisitive medical student, the cardiologist preparing for certification to clarify thoughts, as well as the internist or general practitioner who wants to update their knowledge of general cardiology in a simple form. The publication does not aim to provide exhaustive answers to all questions of contemporary cardiology but rather to cover important aspects in the most targeted and concise manner.
