How should humanity cope with artificial intelligence? For the sake of prosperity, AI must serve individuals, not the other way around. We are facing one of the greatest dilemmas in history – how to harness the potential of artificial intelligence while ensuring that humans remain human. While AI can handle many things better than we can, over time it will begin to demand our unlimited trust. But we have already given that trust to one another, to states, institutions, and higher principles. Should we now completely entrust ourselves to AI based on 'objective rationality' – thereby allowing our civilization to be fundamentally transformed? To pay for convenience with the loss of identity, culture, and human emotions? The author presents a slightly different vision in the book, which he calls AI for People – AI 4P. The driving force of progress is not always revolutionary 'social' change – which, according to the Čapek brothers, breeds 'violence' – but often gradual changes brought about by new technologies serving individuals. The brain, including reason, emotions, ideals, and intuition, will remain an irreplaceable authority protecting our evolutionary interests. Only in this way can our lives remain a true story of trials and errors, wins and losses.
