Description
This children’s fairy tale, in Czech, takes place at Windy Hill, where a cottage is home to the best grandmother in the world. She knows all the herbs and bakes wonderful dumplings sprinkled with prachanda, and Honzík and Anička cannot imagine a better place to spend their holidays. This time, however, something strange is happening, as though something sinister is gathering on Windy Hill. Wherever Anička and Honzík go, people are talking about devils. A greedy plivník rules the henhouse, while a black cat watches their every step, and their grandmother recalls mysterious disappearances and misfortunes. One thing is certain: infernal tricks are taking place, and someone must get to the bottom of them. Together with the children, readers venture into a mysterious attic filled with magic, devilish stones, the scent of biscuits and sulphur. Yet there is always a way out of the devil’s fog.
