Vražedná temnota – Reganová Lisa (2023)

At dawn, a young couple lies on their backs beside a dying fire. They are holding hands and their eyes are open, but their bodies are already cold. When a park ranger discovers Valerie and Tyler Yates’s bodies in the woods, detective Josie Quinn suspects that this is more than an accidental poisoning. The autopsy proves her right: before her death, someone forced a pendant roughly down Valerie’s throat. While searching the area, Josie’s team finds a third sleeping bag, suggesting that someone else was by the fire that night. Was it an unidentified missing victim, or a suspect on the run? Could it be the woman who moments later ran out of the woods directly in front of Josie’s car? The clues lead Josie to places hidden deep in the forest, including a maze of caves and an isolated farm where people go to hide. There they meet a frightened young girl with bandaged wrists who knows more than she is saying. The next day, she is found dead, bearing an identical pendant. Josie must discover the meaning of the deadly ornament and catch the twisted killer before another innocent person loses their life, or has the darkness already consumed everything?
