Description
Carli is just over thirty and works as a waitress in a café once run by her Italian grandparents. She is burdened with debts from her unfinished architecture studies, so she struggles in a rented room, with her only bright spot being her friend Fritzi. One day, however, Carli learns that a regular customer of the café, Fabrizio, has passed away and left her an old toy workshop in Florence. Could fate finally offer a way to escape her unsatisfactory life in rainy Marburg? She could sell the workshop, pay off her debts, and maybe even finish school. When Carli finds herself in Florence, she feels the warm rays of the Italian sun on her skin, the Tuscan wind in her hair, and the mingling scents of herbs, lemons, sweet pastries, and great coffee in the air. While clearing out the workshop, she discovers a story of a long-lost love that helps her understand many things about herself and her family. And then she realizes that she doesn't want to go back anymore, because perhaps right here and now, she is beginning to live a completely new story...
