Pravidla chování dětí v mateřské škole – Michalová Zdeňka (2022)

The publication conveys to children the basic social rules of functioning in a group. Its goal is to achieve a true understanding of the concept of "rules" and why it is important to follow them. It is based on the principle of respecting rules through personal social experience and connecting them with information from everyday life. By incorporating play and storytelling, it also supports the child's natural curiosity and creativity. The established rules are simple but clear. They lead children not only to an awareness of their own needs and feelings but also to a reflection on the needs and feelings of others. They are named in relation to their content, i.e., the Rule of Our Eyes, Mouth, Ears, as well as Order and Safety. The means for their true understanding is asking questions and "bridging" the content of the rule into other social situations with which the child has experience. This is also facilitated by working with stories and worksheets. Unique and socially thoughtful illustrations complementing the publication were created in collaboration with academic painter Martina Fojtů.
