The teaching of the specialized healthcare subject of somatology in the nursing field takes place in the first year. Somatology is one of the fundamental subjects in the study of all healthcare fields. It provides students with basic knowledge about the structure and function of the human body as a whole under physiological conditions. It introduces them to the structure, location, and function of individual tissues and organs. Sufficient knowledge of somatology is a prerequisite for successful study of other specialized healthcare subjects as well as for practicing a healthcare profession. Such textbooks have been lacking in the market. The teaching of this subject for future nurses is based on high school textbooks or under the guidance of a teacher without a comprehensive professional text for students. The publication will enable students to better navigate the material being covered, to review independently, and to deepen their knowledge. It provides important assistance to teachers not only in teaching but also in assigning tasks and supplementary exercises to students.
