Everyone in the small, sleepy American town of Denton is searching for seventeen-year-old Isabelle Coleman. All they have found so far is her mobile phone. And then there is another girl, whom they didn't even know they were supposed to be looking for. This poor, yet unnamed and mysterious girl is completely shaken and utterly unresponsive to the events and the world around her. The only clue that Detective Josie Quinn can use at this moment is the name: Ramona. Josie, who is currently suspended, takes the investigation into her own hands. The name Ramona leads to further evidence connecting the two girls. She knows she is starting a desperate race against time to find Isabelle alive, and fears there may be other girls as well... The clues indeed lead Josie Quinn to another girl. However, the authorities have labeled her case as fictional and shelved it. Josie still believes that this girl could also be a victim. But who exactly? And why does it seem that no one but her cares about solving the case?
