Angličtina krok za krokem – Pourová Miloslava (2019)

This English textbook is designed for learners who want to study independently, check and expand their knowledge, communicate in everyday situations, and learn simply without unnecessary effort. It offers accessible texts with useful vocabulary focused on ordinary daily topics, grammar explained directly from the texts with numbered references, Czech translations of grammar examples, pronunciation and Czech translations of vocabulary, additional vocabulary, translated questions about the texts, conversation phrases, exercises, tests and translation tasks, all with immediate answers. It also highlights common mistakes made by Czech students. The first of its three parts covers conversation topics and uses questions to make practice more engaging and build confidence. The second contains grammar exercises, tests and translations covering pronouns, adverbs, comparative and superlative forms, irregular forms, and the formation and use of verb tenses. The third provides reference materials on irregular verbs, verb tenses, prepositions, numbers, question formation, English pronunciation, interjections, and the names of months and days. Each chapter follows ten steps: vocabulary, text, grammar, grammar exercises, questions about the text, personal questions, conversational situations, translation, storytelling and additional vocabulary.
