This Czech-language book presents the phenomenon of the Bauhaus, the German modern art and industrial school, from three different perspectives. Written by three renowned Czech authors, it was inspired by the centenary of the school’s foundation and seeks to bring its story closer to the general public, students and teachers in an accessible form. Alongside the Bauhaus’s leading figures, it explores the environment of the Czech interwar avant-garde, which maintained intensive contact with the school. The engaging text is accompanied by period visual materials, photographs and reproductions, as well as illustrations by architect David Vávra and a comic tracing events connected with the Bauhaus.
