Description
The publication is primarily intended for first-year students of the Emergency Medical Technician program. Its main purpose was to unify topics and procedures specific to this field. Following the amendment of Act No. 96/2004, an emergency medical technician can perform activities without professional supervision after one year of practice while providing acute inpatient care. Nursing procedures are specified and tailored to the working conditions of intensive care unit departments. The authors emphasize safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care, focusing on maintaining lege artis procedures, communication, and above all, humanity. In selecting topics, they drew from the currently valid competencies of emergency medical technicians. The content also includes photographic procedures that students can easily perceive in practice.
