Vybrané kapitoly z fyziologie – Babula Petr (2022)

The publication offers readers topics that have not yet been comprehensively addressed in our literature and have not received the attention they deserve. Readers will become familiar with the principles of regulatory mechanisms and their integration, the physiology of the various stages of human ontogeny, the physiological peculiarities and changes during the neonatal period, the role of calcium in the organism, membrane transport processes, and skin physiology. The writing style and personality of each author are reflected in the individual chapters, yet they share a common goal – to present the mentioned physiological topics with a certain perspective and reflection, guiding readers further in their studies and showcasing the complexity and beauty of physiology as a field. The book is intended not only for undergraduate students of general medicine, dentistry, and non-medical health fields including pharmacy, but also for postgraduate students, doctors, and other professionals. It was written by a collective of authors from the Institute of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University.
