The book is intended for managers, accountants, methodologists, and analysts of municipalities, cities, regions, and state organizations. It was created out of practical needs, where existing financial accounting cannot be fully utilized for financial management and financial control purposes. The area of managerial accounting in the public sector is not extensively addressed by authors of professional books, as it is entirely different from managerial accounting in the private sector. This is indeed the first edition of a book on managerial accounting in the public sector that is not subject to decrees and accounting standards.
